Leaders of Gresham Arthur Academy (GAA), the district-authorized charter, presented an annual report summarizing enrollment, staffing and outcomes from the prior year.
GAA representatives said enrollment stands at 163 students from 123 families, including 18 out-of-district students. Staffing includes nine teachers, two leadership staff, one administrator, one office coordinator and three part-time support staff. Presenters said the school's demographics show diversity but that they have not fully mirrored neighborhood schools this year and noted a small decline in mirroring since the prior year.
The presenters highlighted rising attendance rates after a period of illness-driven declines and invited board members to schedule campus visits; they also invited the board to a 5th-grade graduation on June 12 at 1:00 p.m. Board members discussed scheduling visits and asked about retention patterns across grade levels, which presenters attributed to the school's direct-instruction model.
