The Gresham-Barlow School District board voted unanimously to approve a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
Executive Director Michael Sweeten and OSEA Co-Presidents Erika Fuller and Jessica Houck presented the contract and described an interest-based bargaining process that the parties said strengthened collaboration. OSEA reported a membership ratification vote with 51% turnout and 100% approval. Director Kris Howatt, the board's representative to bargaining, praised the interest-based process.
Motion 82 to approve the agreement carried 7-0. The board thanked bargaining team members and noted the agreement is intended to support classified employees whose roles include day-to-day student support, operations and classified services across the district.
