Pendleton School District 16’s Board of Directors met March 9, 2026, at the district office. Board Chair Beth Harrison called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and noted that “this meeting is being audio and video recorded.” Directors approved the meeting agenda by motion of Patrick Gregg, seconded by Ryan Lehnert.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included meeting minutes, grants and the human resources report. The February financial report was discussed separately after Chair Harrison asked for more detail; Michelle Jones, director of business services, told the board that “Revenues for the month of February are within expectations” and provided updates on recent HVAC repairs at the PHS auditorium, Sherwood Elementary and the PELC. The minutes record the district also received a delayed first payment from the Common School Fund this month, with a second payment expected in July 2026.
The meeting included reports and presentations rather than policy votes. Athletic directors summarized winter sports and spring schedules and Michelle Jones delivered a presentation on PERS that covered how rates are calculated and the potential long-term impact to district budgets. The board approved the recommended contract statuses for 2026–27 after a motion by Mason Murphy; Director Ryan DeGrofft abstained due to family appearing in the report. The meeting adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
