The Reynolds School District Board of Education received an update on a draft bond package and outreach plans during its Feb. 25 business meeting.
The presentation noted that "The projects will take place district wide, not just at a few schools," and specified that the Glenfair replacement amount in the draft is bond funding only and does not include other sources such as PCEF. The update said bonds would fund buildings and capital projects only and cannot be used for staff costs. Board materials indicate the draft will be taken to community groups and staff for feedback and that a parent advisory committee (PAC) is planned to form during the summer. Board members were encouraged to begin outreach to potential PAC members now.
Why it matters: Bond measures shape long-term facility investments and borrowing costs. The board also later voted to authorize staff to gather community feedback on the proposed bond package, an action intended to inform a final bond proposal.
Provenance: Topic first introduced in SEG 019 and discussed through SEG 020.
