At the Feb. 23 meeting John Nicks "spoke in support of Spring Branch students protesting ICE," according to the minutes. The public comment period also included remarks by Diana Alexander, Nancy Friedman and Janet Pozmantier on Item 9B, and Barbara Denson addressed the Board regarding her campaign for the State Board of Education. Jeri Spence had signed up but did not attend.
