Administration raised a potential cost-saving option: moving the Sequoia program from a leased facility into existing district-owned space (for example, the district office or spare classrooms at the high school). Kim said the idea could free up an amount roughly equivalent to a teacher—s salary. "Can we move the Sequoia kids into the district office?... We're gonna put some sprinklers in there," she said, asking staff to run cost comparisons.
