The Tarkington ISD Board of Trustees on June 25, 2026, voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Randy O'Brian as interim superintendent and authorized Board President Lane Gulledge to negotiate and execute an employment contract consistent with terms discussed in closed session. The motion was made by Dwayne Stovall and seconded by Jason Ward and carried with a recorded vote of Yea: 7, Nay: 0.
