Commission codifies position reclassifications; human resources says no new headcount
The commission adopted an ordinance amending the position classification plan to retitle and reclassify positions. Human resources director Sunigo described the item as housekeeping that codifies changes already included in the budget; Sunigo said there were no new positions or additional personnel.

Human resources director Sunigo told the commission the ordinance amends section 34.107 of the city code to retitle, reclassify and create position titles but does not add new personnel. "This is a housekeeping item... and the position changes... just codifies those separately," Sunigo said, noting the changes are already included in the budget.
