On March 19, 2026, the Spurger Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted a resolution endorsing the Tyler County 2026 Hazard Mitigation Plan. Board President Carroll Hatton moved to adopt the resolution; Cheryl Spangler seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
