Board approves consent agenda; Policy Update 126 pulled for separate consideration

Mr. Raymond Patterson moved and Ms. Amanda Sanchez seconded approval of the eight consent items on the agenda after item #4 (Policy Update 126) was pulled for discussion. The items recorded on the consent agenda included approval of the Dec. 15, 2025 regular meeting minutes and Jan. 9, 2026 special meeting minutes; consideration of monthly expenditures for December 2025; amended budgets; approval to purchase elementary reading materials from HMH; approval of the WSISD Child Nutrition Department Purchasing Cooperative for the 2026–2027 school year; approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with Kit for Teams; and amendment of a roof-replacement contract for three campuses. The motion carried with a 7–0 vote.
Item #4, Policy Update 126 (TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 126), was pulled from consent and appears as attached policy action material in the meeting packet for later discussion; the minutes include the Update 126 explanatory notes as an attachment but do not record board action on that item in the consent vote.
