Board honors National Livestock for partnership that expanded Stocker Calf Program
Summary
The Eastern Oklahoma State College Board presented the 2025 Regents Impact Award to National Livestock for a partnership that helped relaunch and expand the college's Stocker Calf Program and strengthened hands-on agricultural education.
Chair Latt Jeffrey presented the 2025 Regents Impact Award to National Livestock, represented by Scott McCormick, in recognition of the company's role in revitalizing Eastern's Stocker Calf Program.
The award citation noted the program began about ten years ago in partnership with Earl Shero and Shero Ranch and that National Livestock partnered with the College to relaunch and expand hands-on agricultural training for students. Mr. McCormick expressed appreciation for the partnership and highlighted the importance of educating future generations in the stocker segment of the cattle industry.
Regents used the award presentation to emphasize community partnerships as part of the College's outreach strategy in the region. The College took a brief photographic recess after the presentation and resumed regular business.
