San Saba ISD board approves comprehensive Local Policy Update 126

Trustees approved Local Policy Update 126, which includes revisions and updates across a broad set of local policies: BOARD MEETINGS (BED), PUBLIC PARTICIPATION, CONTRACTED SERVICES and related background checks, BUILDINGS/GROUNDS/EQUIPMENT DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS, TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES (including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence), FACILITY STANDARDS (safety and security), EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS (including conflict of interest), COMPENSATION and LEAVES, TERM CONTRACTS and NONRENEWAL, PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT and GRIEVANCES, STUDENT WELFARE topics (crisis intervention, student safety, child abuse and neglect), student rights/responsibilities and community conduct on school premises among others. The motion was made by Kristen Nelson and seconded by Jake Lackey and passed with five yeas and two absences.
