The Southwest ISD Board of Trustees approved a package of business and finance items on April 21. Kylee Oefinger presented recommended updates to the district Local Wellness Policy (FFA LOCAL); Trustee Daniel Carrillo moved to approve the updates and the motion carried unanimously. The board also awarded RFP 2526-104 for kitchen equipment following a motion by Trustee Ida Sudolcan and second by Trustee James Sullivan.
Additional finance and facilities approvals included an amendment to the 2025–2026 compensation plan (moved by Trustee Ida Sudolcan, seconded by Trustee Daniel Carrillo), approval to replace air-cooled chillers at McNair Middle School (presented by Thomas Krueger; moved by Trustee Ida Sudolcan), and a determination regarding the district fleet’s 3-point seat belt requirements (presented by Brandon Crisp; moved by Trustee Daniel Carrillo). All motions were approved unanimously by the seven trustees recorded in the minutes.
