Kevin Latoz called the special meeting of the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Community Unit District #4 Board of Education to order at 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2024, at the Superintendent’s Office, 502 Mulberry Street, Georgetown, Illinois. Board members recorded present on the roll call were Sandi Doggett, Lisa Coburn, Carla Pollman, Greg Emmert and Mike Gragert; the minutes state a quorum was present.
The agenda cited the Illinois Open Meetings Act provision for personnel matters (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)), stating: "The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the district to determine its validity." A motion to adjourn to closed session to consider those personnel matters passed unanimously with 'Ayes: All in favor' and 'Nayes: None' recorded. The special meeting minutes include the name Darla Attutis as recording secretary and signature lines for the president and secretary.
