Committee to consult GOCO rep before committing to $58K schematic design for Higginbotham Flats
Staff presented a roughly $58,000 schematic design proposal for Higginbotham Flats Overlook Park and said purchasing schematic design would help the city pursue GOCO Centennial/legacy grants; committee members asked staff to meet with a GOCO representative and return with grant alignment before voting on schematic design.

Jillian said HCM’s schematic design (approximately 30% design) would cost just under $60,000 and give the city enough material to pursue larger construction grants. “This would give us enough to start looking at grants to pursue construction design and construction,” she said, and added the design alone would not allow immediate construction but would strengthen grant applications.
