Two county bridge replacements complete and open to traffic

Jackson County's county engineer told the Board of Supervisors on July 21 that two bridge replacement projects are complete and open to traffic.
"The 360 2nd Avenue bridge replacement is complete and is open to traffic as of last Wednesday," the engineer said, and added that the 458th Avenue bridge replacement opened as of yesterday. The engineer provided additional updates on nearby overlay and apron work and said crews will soon set 120-foot concrete beams on another project, with crane support scheduled this week.
The board heard that work on Bernard Road continues (side-road aprons and granular shoulders) and was told the county will schedule remaining tasks around annual restriping and seasonal constraints. No formal board action was required on the bridge openings during the meeting.
