Board approves $667 million facilities master plan as tool for future bond work

The Bellflower Unified board approved a final facilities master plan from PBK Architects that lays out prioritized projects and strategies to address declining enrollment, modernization needs and Prop 2 eligibility. PBK listed $667,000,000 in potential projects over 10 years; the plan will guide bond planning and state grant applications.

The Bellflower Unified School District board voted to adopt the facilities master plan presented by PBK Architects after extended discussion about timing and review of the 500-plus page document. PBK director Josh Jackson described the plan as a data-driven roadmap that pairs facility condition assessments, enrollment projections and community input to prioritize capital projects and state grant eligibility.
