District kicks off long-range facilities planning and bond community process

Staff reported the district has engaged a consulting team (architects, engineers and an owner's representative) to lead a long-range planning process that could inform a future bond. "We have been doing a lot of work in preparation for the bond," said the staff lead, and the committee will meet starting March 20 with consecutive Thursday meetings in April.
The consultant group will synthesize facility assessments and community input into prioritized needs for the board to consider if the district pursues a bond. Staff asked the board to consider appointing up to two members to attend meetings so that no more than two board members are present at any given committee meeting (to comply with public-meeting law). The committee's findings will be presented to the full board and shared with the community for additional feedback.
