Enrichment Services pitches workforce training; county accepts letter‑of‑support request

Belva Dorsey‑Mott of Enrichment Services briefed the board at its April 28 work session on training programs aimed at local employment — including EMT, commercial driver’s license (CDL) and certified nursing assistant (CNA) courses. Dorsey‑Mott asked county officials to consider a letter of support for future funding or partnership opportunities.
"They do training; they have classes for employment training such as EMT, CDL, and CNA training," Dorsey‑Mott said. The county manager said staff would share program information on the county newsletter and Facebook page and would consider a formal letter of support at a later meeting.
County Manager Thomas Weaver also updated commissioners on infrastructure items: intermittent outages at well #3 (possibly lightning damage), a repaired leak on Trotters Ridge, library bench installations by public works and a $1,700 grant to fund microchipping at the animal facility.
