Board Accepts $10,000 Donation; Principal, Student Reports and Public Comment Recognize Board

The board unanimously accepted a $10,000 donation from Agape City Church to be split evenly between the Howell High School football and track programs (Exhibit J). The motion was moved by Ms. Zurek and supported by Ms. Conn and recorded as carried 7-0.
During reports the board recognized David Cherry, principal of Challenger Elementary School, as the 2024 Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association Principal of the Year. The student representative, Jayden Zhang, reported on Howell High School activities. In public comment Dave Cherry, speaking on behalf of the Howell Administration Association, acknowledged the board during School Board Appreciation Month and noted the HAA purchased books to donate to each district school.
