Following the death of Raymond Matney, the Board voted to appoint Brian Vaught to the Mount Rogers Planning District Commission; the roll call recorded a single no vote from Supervisor Sarah P. Crockett.

The Board considered two nominations to fill a vacancy on the Mount Rogers Planning District Commission (MRPDC) created by the passing of Raymond Matney. Following a roll-call vote, the Board appointed Brian Vaught to the MRPDC with AYES from Supervisors Cook, Morgan, Smith, Terry and Burnett; Supervisor Sarah P. Crockett recorded a NAY. A second motion to appoint Andy Kegley was made but rendered unnecessary after the first vote.
