Nevada Works presents regional workforce plan to Elko County commissioners

"Nevada Works' mission is to provide the best workforce solutions, fulfilling needs of employers and job seekers," Stewart said, outlining hubs, employer partnerships and training pathways the organization offers.
Stewart emphasized that Nevada Works operates through two governance bodies — a Local Elected Official Consortium and a council that is at least 51% business representatives — and that the entity coordinates federal and state funds including WIOA dollars. He said the organization provides in-person and virtual services through EmployNV business and career hubs in communities such as Carson City, Elko, Ely, Fallon, Reno, Sparks and Winnemucca and is working to expand navigator positions and local programming. The presentation was informational; the board took no action on the item.
