At the Aug. 19 meeting, Courtney Painter explained the SBEC continuing education and training clearinghouse requirements for staff training under Education Code provisions referenced in the minutes. Painter then presented the Quinlan ISD Professional Development Plan for 2024–25, noting that annual approval is required and SBEC standards are applied. Trustee Todd Darter moved to adopt the plan; Trustee Rick Grant seconded and the board approved it 6-0.
