Board approves purchasing matrix and updates privacy language for texting service

The Elko Television District approved a new purchasing matrix designed to speed routine, low-dollar purchases while keeping supervisory and committee-level controls for larger items.

Treasurer Marissa explained the matrix allows staff to purchase small items such as office supplies without waiting for a full board meeting, while retaining checks and balances for larger procurements. A motion to approve the matrix passed unanimously.

Separately, the board approved updates to the district's privacy policy to add the opt-out language required to use a Grasshopper texting auto-attendant. Staff will finalize minor edits (remove an outdated gmail address and add the official office email) and submit the changes to the vendor.
