County staff said the courthouse elevator will be closed for about eight weeks beginning Nov. 2 for repairs; an engineer study of a $250,000 parking allocation would yield only about eight spaces from the simplest option; staff also proposed using MRF recycling funds for a capped residential tire-amnesty day and explored a state-backed agricultural tire event if state funds are secured.

The county administrator reported two near-term courthouse projects and potential community disposal events. The courthouse elevator is scheduled to be shut down starting Nov. 2 for approximately eight weeks for repair work; staff will coordinate court, sheriff and agency access during that period.
