At the Oct. 28 meeting the board approved a series of land-use items brought by Land Services. The board approved the preliminary plat for Harlins Huge Walleye Hideout (five-lot plat with a shared outlot for access on Grave Lake) after staff and the Planning Commission recommended approval and commissioners discussed shared outlot ownership and tax implications. The board subsequently approved the final plat for the same project after staff confirmed final-plat requirements were met.
Separately, the board approved a land-use map amendment to change two parcels (approximately 80 acres) in Long Lake Township from agricultural/forestry to rural residential-10 (10-acre minimum). Staff noted shoreland and stream buffer extents during the presentation. Commissioners voted to approve the amendment, and staff said they concur with the Planning Commission's unanimous recommendation.
