Board approves routine resolutions, delegates authority to superintendent after closed session

The board took several formal actions during the meeting. The board approved a resolution casting votes for a candidate to the Grayson Central Appraisal District, endorsing Charlie Williams for another term. The board also approved a resolution allowing the Grayson County Special Education cooperative to pay a retention stipend to its staff; the motion was moved and seconded and the board recorded aye votes.
After an executive session that cited Texas Government Code sections 551.072 (land), 551.074 (personnel) and 551.076 (safety), the board reconvened and approved a resolution delegating authority to the superintendent or a designee to negotiate, finalize and execute a purchase-and-sale agreement to sell a one-acre tract at the northwest corner of 6th Street and Little Elm Creek Road in the city of Gunnar, Grayson County. The chair called the votes and the motion passed before the board adjourned.
