Committee flags GIS parcel errors, water and service-capacity concerns for plan

Staff demonstrated a GIS parcel map and identified mapping inaccuracies: several parcels that should show structures were not detected in the dataset. Staff said they would coordinate with the GIS team to correct the parcel layer before it is posted publicly. As staff explained, "the parcels that are colored in brown, allegedly have structures on them," and the committee asked staff to resolve the discrepancy.
Separately, members raised regional water concerns and insurance impacts tied to fire coverage. A committee participant urged that long-term accountability be built into approvals: "I think those things need to be considered that it's not just a 1 and done with a lot of these, and we need to figure out how to continually enforce or hold these developers or or whoever accountable for the impacts of these developments." The committee agreed to include infrastructure feasibility studies (water, sewer, traffic) and to ask developers to provide impact information as part of subdivision applications.
