Kane County commissioners voted unanimously June 9 to award a $295,947.50 contract to Intelex for the Mountain View Culvert Replacement Project, a drainage upgrade intended to increase culvert capacity on Mountain View Drive ahead of planned asphalt work.
Bert Harris presented the bid, describing the project as an upsizing of culverts to handle flood conditions ahead of pavement improvements. “Motion to award the bid to Intelex for the Mountain View Culvert Replacement Project in the amount presented made by Commissioner Meyeres and motion carried with all commissioners present voting in favor,” the minutes record. Commissioner Celeste Meyeres made the motion and the board voted aye.
