Board approves nitro-enhanced septic system for 12 Nycoma Way with conditions
The Eastham Board of Health conditionally approved raising and rebuilding a 2-bedroom cottage at 12 Nycoma Way with a nitro enhanced-IA septic system (11 mg/L provisional nitrogen limit), a 2-bedroom deed restriction, monitoring and recorded deed conditions, and approval valid through 07/30/2027.

The Eastham Board of Health voted to approve a raise-and-rebuild project at 12 Nycoma Way that includes an innovative 'nitro' enhanced IA septic system and a series of conditions aimed at ensuring long-term monitoring and nitrogen control. Laura of Schofield Brothers described the plan and its constraints, saying the new house would connect to municipal water and install "a 1,500 gallon septic tank followed by a nitro system," sized for a three-bedroom leaching area though the dwelling will remain two bedrooms.
