Commissioner Signorello introduced Samaritan Scout, a volunteer-matching platform developed by Union County residents and students that uses AI to help match volunteers with local opportunities. The board issued resolutions recognizing the group's work and several cofounders and volunteers came forward to accept the recognition.
Commissioner Signorello highlighted the project's local roots and student involvement, naming cofounder William Rosenthal and others who have contributed coding, design and product development. "It's only used to match wonderful people with the volunteer opportunities that they would like to do," one of the student founders said, and the board applauded the team's efforts to expand volunteer engagement.
