Conrad Ruhlin Foundation events aim to raise funds for local programs and Big Brothers Big Sisters

The council heard a presentation about the Conrad Ruhlin Foundation’s fifth annual fundraising series (March dinner, pickleball, and Marguerite tennis tournament) that raised nearly $60,000 last year; proceeds support brain aneurysm research, organ‑donation advocacy and local programs including wheelchair tennis and Spirit League.

City staff and foundation representatives described Community Services’ partnership with the Conrad Ruhlin Foundation and previewed the fifth annual series of fundraising events that benefit several local and regional charities. The foundation and city said last year’s combined events (live and silent auctions, pickleball and tennis tournaments) raised almost $60,000 and that portions of proceeds support the Lisa Colagracci Foundation for Brain Aneurysms, Legacy Donate Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern California, and a wheelchair tennis program offered at Marguerite free to participants.
