The board approved a range of procurement and facilities actions at the Aug. 6 meeting, including notice of completion for the Almani High School track and field project (bid 2024‑2025B1), the Almani Rosemead Adult School facility upgrades (with funding explicitly charged to the district's general fund), award of a campus-survey RFP to David Beckwith and Associates, and a fiscal-support resolution with David Norton.
Trustees also approved a one‑year contract with software provider SchoolAI for 2025–26; a professional-development agreement with the Los Angeles County Office of Education STEM unit; an independent‑contractor agreement for marching-band field-show design (paid from Proposition 28 funds); and a joint‑use facilities agreement with 986 Degree Corporation for pharmacy‑technician courses. All items passed by unanimous vote where recorded.
The adult-school item included a funding clarification: expenditures for the adult-school facility upgrades will be charged to the general fund and will not draw from CAEP resources, the board record shows.
The board asked that bidding and procurement records be available to trustees and that staff provide the usual contract timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule.
