Township flags vendor email scam after invoice spoofing attempt

Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen reported the township received an email that appeared to be from Thielen Excavating requesting payment by wire transfer. After checking township records and calling Thielen Excavating directly, the board determined there were no outstanding invoices and concluded the message was a scam.
