The South Bend City Council on Jan. 26 heard a presentation from Tate Adams, Executive Director of Pacific County Immigrant Support, and multiple public commenters urging the city to oppose Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in South Bend. After discussion with Chief Stigall and councilors, Councilor Manlow moved to table the draft resolution for further review; the motion passed with four votes in favor and one abstention.
