The City of Garland Civil Service Commission swore in Patricia Anthony as a commissioner during its May 29, 2026 meeting. A staff member, Ms. Worrell, administered the oath using the formal language for the Office of Civil Service Commissioner; Patricia Anthony replied, "I will." Chair McNeal welcomed Anthony to the commission.
