Bailey Martin‑Rutliff, director of the Kansas Oil Museum, used the public‑comment period to update commissioners on the museum's activities, saying volunteers now staff daily open hours Wednesday through Friday and that programming has expanded. Martin‑Rutliff told the Board the museum is "laying groundwork to separate the Kansas Oil Museum and Butler County Historical Society functions into different buildings to better tell both stories and support STEM education, research and writing."
