The Human Resource Committee approved several personnel classification changes: amendments to the Compensation Policy Manual effective Jan. 1, 2026; an addition of the Deputy EMS Operations Coordinator title at Grade 8 (salary range $78,280–$90,748) effective Feb. 11, 2026; reclassification of the Secretary to the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds from MC Grade 5 to Secretary III on MC Grade 3 following a desk audit; retitling Training & Development Specialist to Employment and Development Specialist (Grade 7); and adding a Valuation Data Coordinator at MC Grade 9 (effective Jan. 20, 2026). Motions for these changes carried and were referred to Finance for processing.
Public Works Committee Chair Smith expressed concern about placement of the reclassified secretary on the wage scales. Several actions were noted as contingent on results of desk audits and wage comparisons recorded in the minutes.
