County approves one-year Citrix licensing renewal after VPN migration delay

Administrator Jennifer Hutchinson said the county must fund the renewal from the general contingency fund because the expense was not budgeted for 2026.
Sheriff Chris Clark told commissioners the county expected to switch from Citrix to VPN by the end of January, but the city’s timeline moved to the end of February and an email notice about the change was missed until Jan. 12. Clark described difficulty negotiating a short-term extension with Arrow and said the county needs 30–60 days of Citrix service to finish the migration. Commissioner Rittenhouse said the renewal was frustrating but necessary for officer safety.
