Clark County commissioners formally oppose Sloopy Solar Project
The Board of Clark County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2026-0052 opposing the Sloopy Solar Project (OPSB Case No. 25-0636-EL-BGN), citing impacts to farmland, rural character, local roads and resident welfare and asking the Ohio Power Siting Board to deny certification.

The Board of Clark County Commissioners voted Jan. 14, 2026, to place its formal opposition on the record to the proposed Sloopy Solar Project in Harmony Township, adopting Resolution 2026-0052 and requesting the Ohio Power Siting Board deny any certificate for the project. Commissioners Sasha L. Rittenhouse, Charles A. Patterson and Richard L. Lohnes voted unanimously to adopt the resolution.
