Library previews 'Reading Is Totally Rad' Summer Reading Club, May 30 ugust 8
Library staff outlined the 2026 Summer Reading Club, reporting a kickoff with more than 500 attendees, an eighties-themed schedule of events across three branches, free family programming, and continued use of the Beanstack app to log reading hours.

Peter Seim, the library director, introduced Ashley Wyche, library administrator of programs, who presented the Summer Reading Club schedule and outreach plan. Wyche said the program will run May 30 through August 8, 2026, and reported that the kickoff at the main library drew over 500 people. "Reading is totally rad," Wyche said, describing the eighties theme and the variety of free activities planned for families.
