The Land & Water Conservation Committee approved a $16,000 capital project request to continue the Douglas County Groundwater Program and referred the request to the Zoning Committee. Committee discussion noted that Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) testing was a possible testing option under the program.
The Groundwater Program is charged with protecting the county's groundwater supply and increasing public awareness of groundwater quality. The motion to approve $16,000 was made by Wendy Bong and seconded by Terry White and carried unanimously.
