Residents and engineers discuss dust control and temporary speed posting for 210th Street

Residents and supervisors discussed heavy truck traffic and dust on 210th Street (Airport Road north of Clarion). Wright County Engineer Adam Clemens said the Iowa DOT identified routes and county crews provided dust‑control support and that roughly 5,700 feet of roadway (including intersections and on‑frontage areas) had been treated; the county sent the billing information to DOT for payment.

One resident and supervisors discussed temporarily posting a 25 mph speed limit to reduce traffic impact; Clemens said he could prepare a resolution to post a temporary 25 mph limit but that posting is of limited value without enforcement. A supervisor suggested consulting law enforcement before posting; no final decision to post a reduced speed limit was made, and staff offered to put a resolution on a future agenda if the board wished to proceed.

Clemens also described routine secondary‑roads activity including blading, hauling rock, crack filling and two planned bridge/culvert replacements (a curve bridge at Goldfield and another southwest of Eagle Grove), with a 2–3 week estimated window for Goldfield work depending on weather.
