Commissioner (speaker 4) moved to approve the resolution and Alicia (speaker 3) seconded. The motion carried with the commission voting in favor. Commissioners said the extension is intended to prevent later legal challenges or inadvertent permitting gaps while staff finishes language and analyses.
Knott told the commission staff had "attached the i's and crossed the t's" in the backup and recommended the extension to avoid later caveats. No members of the public spoke against the resolution during the meeting. The commission did not set an earlier return date; staff indicated the item will return with refined language when ready.
