The Comanche County Excise Board unanimously approved a series of inter‑fund transfers at its April 20, 2026 meeting in Lawton to move dollars between departmental line items and cover operating and benefits needs.
Deputy County Clerk Karie Shotts‑Harris read the transfers into the record. Among the changes, the General Fund moved $15,000 from "OSU Salary" to "OSU M&O," the Health budget shifted $50,000 from M&O to Contract Labor, and the Sheriff (special trust) moved $10,000 from Capital Outlay to M&O. Juvenile Detention reclassified $8,234 to benefits from several lines (JDC Travel $3,090; JDC Capital Outlay $768; JDC Salary $3,336; JDC Part Time $1,040). The board also recorded a $20,000 General transfer from Sheriff Benefits to Sheriff M&O and a $23,242.41 transfer from Commissioner Contingency to JDC Benefits.
Vice‑Chairman Dustin Glover moved to approve the transfers; Chairman J.P. Richard seconded. Both members voted aye, carrying the motions.
The transfers adjust budgets within existing appropriations rather than creating new appropriations. No additional discussion or public testimony related to the transfers was recorded.
