Cass County awards $103,290 engineering contract to Erickson Engineering for CSAH 8 bridge replacement

County Engineer Darrick Anderson told the board that Bridge No. 11504 on CSAH 8 over the Leech Lake River requires replacement and currently has a Local Performance Index (LPI) rating of 45, below the threshold (60) to qualify for certain funding. Three engineering proposals were received: Erickson Engineering ($103,290), LHB ($128,352), and Houston Engineering ($199,227).
After brief discussion the board voted unanimously to award the engineering services contract to Erickson Engineering for $103,290 and authorized the County Engineer to sign the contract on behalf of the board. Commissioner Rick Haaland moved the award; Commissioner Neal Gaalswyk seconded.
