The board voted to recommend the state appoint Jason Cass as deputy health officer and to appoint Scott Gordon, the fire chief, as deputy fire warden. The Chair made both motions; each was seconded and approved with an "aye" vote.
The board also renewed the town's contract with the National Center for Electronics Recycling (NCER) to allow the transfer station to accept certain computers and electronics for free through 12/31/2027, and approved renewal of the MCS-150 motor carrier identification for the town fleet — a federal registration tied to insurance and required for qualifying vehicles. Finally, timesheets and published pay orders for town staff were approved unanimously by voice vote.
Board members asked the Chair to return with brief bullet points on the benefits of the MCS-150 renewal at the next meeting.
