State ends DECAT and CPPC programs; Floyd County approves PTO payout for coordinator
Summary

Chair Gloria Carr told the board that Iowa legislation will eliminate the DECAT and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC) programs effective June 30, 2026. In response, the board approved a motion to pay out accrued paid time off to Jill McKeen, the DECAT & CPPC coordinator; the motion carried 3-0.
Carr said she will coordinate with supervisors in Floyd, Mitchell and Chickasaw counties to determine how remaining funds in Fund 27000 will be handled. The meeting record also notes that associated program contracts (including Families Making Connections DECAT and Floyd-Mitchell-Chickasaw Early Childhood Iowa) have expired or will expire.
