Commission approves $3,500 opioid-settlement grant for Batterer’s Intervention Program
The Vernon County Commission voted unanimously Nov. 19 to provide up to $3,500 in opioid-settlement funds to Fast Comprehensive Care to implement a Batterer’s Intervention Program aimed at supporting local domestic-violence, probation/parole, and behavioral-health services.

The Vernon County Commission on Nov. 19 approved up to $3,500 in opioid-settlement funds for Fast Comprehensive Care to support a Batterer’s Intervention Program (BIP) focused on domestic-violence, probation/parole and behavioral-health systems. Commissioner John Shorten moved for the award and Commissioner Cindy Thompson seconded; the motion passed with all voting yes.
