J.L. Brewer, representing the Jackson County Justice Reinvestment Advisory Council (JRAC), said the JRAC grant committee and full board recommended awarding $86,000 in opioid‑settlement funds to 180 Recovery Community Organization to support peer recovery services in Jackson County. The commissioners voted to support the JRAC recommendation; the motion was made by Commissioner Drew Storey, seconded by Commissioner Andrew Stauffer, and carried 2‑0.
